How I Built CodeMace
Kush Gangwal built CodeMace, a developer practice and code review workspace for structured feedback instead of isolated problem counts.
Kush Gangwal built CodeMace. Role: Full Stack Developer. Tech: React.js, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL.
The problem
Solved-problem counters do not explain why a solution is weak. Kush Gangwal built CodeMace as a workspace where practice, notes, and review comments stay attached to the same attempt.
Product shape
CodeMace groups a problem, a solution draft, and a review thread. The web client is React and Next.js. The API is Node.js with PostgreSQL so attempts and comments survive beyond a local editor. TypeScript keeps the review payload explicit: what failed, what to rewrite, and what to try next.
- Problem and attempt history
- Inline review comments
- Notes that stay with the solution
- A workspace that can grow into team reviews
Why it belongs in this portfolio
CodeMace shows how Kush Gangwal, Full Stack Developer & React Native Developer, thinks about developer tools: fewer tabs, more memory, and feedback that is specific enough to change the next commit.
